Wildlife Galleries

Animals have always been a passion of mine. Since childhood, I have collected, raised and observed wild animals and to this day, I cannot imagine not having plans to go out and experience more. I have focused on different animals throughout my life with amphibians and reptiles being my primary focus when I was a boy. As I entered the university, insects and specifically Coleoptera entranced me to the point where I amassed one of the largest private collections of Cerambycidea and Scarabaeidae in the world.

Mammals followed and I have spent ridiculous amounts of time (and money) expeditioning on every continent in pursuit of ever more mammal sightings….Of late, birds have caught my fancy and I have been focusing on this group while at the same time pursuing more mammals. The below galleries are my attempt to organize and display the wealth of wildlife I have been privileged to see and photograph over the years.

The vast majority of the images are through-the-lens captures of the species in their natural habitats. Captive, domesticated and habituated animals are labeled accordingly. Since the purpose of this project is to catalogue what I have privileged to have seen in nature, there are some images that are not the most impressive in their photo-quality, but are merely posted to show the species in question - the infamous “documentation shot” as they are called….. This is not meant to be a wildlife photography website. Enjoy!
